Who We Are

Acts2 Network’s Elderly Care Ministry began in 2008 when we first visited a local nursing home to host a worship service. There we found a warm welcome and people who needed to hear the great news of God’s love for them. So we kept going. We went on Sundays and evenings for a chance to share the gospel and to remind the residents that they are loved by God. Our group started with post college men and women, but we have been joined by college students and even youth. Twelve years later and we’ve expanded across 4 states to serve 27 locations and over 2,000 residents! Our vision is to see a worship service in each of the 15,000 nursing homes in America so that even illness and age won’t keep anyone from hearing the good news of great joy.

Our Mission

Raise awareness of the opportunity to bring God's love and encouragement to 1.4 million care home residents in the U.S.

Our History

On February 14, 2006, young women from Acts2 Network decided to take a bold step to counter the romantic notion of love by creating a Valentine's Day of Compassion, by forming teams and holding programs at several nearby care homes and shelters to share Christ's love.

Inspired by their act of love, the rest of the church joined in extending compassionate care the following year, holding similar programs across the San Francisco Bay Area. Fast forward a decade, what started as a small act of loving service by a handful of brave women on a cold February night has grown to a movement of over 1,700 participants who fan out across 100 locations to share God's love at the annual Valentine's Day of Compassion.

In 2009, Elderly Care Ministry was formed to provide an opportunity to bring God's love directly into care homes by holding weekly services and room visitations. Elderly Care Ministry has expanded across 7 major metropolitan areas in four states and serves over 2,000 residents from 27 nursing homes on a weekly basis. Through hundreds of volunteers over the last seven years, over 150 residents have made decisions to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
